Privacy Policy

MyFaceShape ("we", "our", or "the app") helps you discover your face shape and get personalized styling guidance. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the app and how we protect it.

1. Information we process

Face photos. When you take a selfie with the camera or choose a photo from your library, a compressed copy of that image is sent over HTTPS to our secure backend (a Cloudflare Worker) so a third-party AI service can analyze facial proportions, estimate your face shape, and generate ratings and styling tips. Photos are processed to deliver your analysis and are not stored long-term on our servers after the request completes.

Optional gender preference. If you select a gender preference during onboarding, it may be sent with analysis requests so styling recommendations can be tailored. This preference is stored locally on your device.

Anonymous device identifier. A random identifier stored on your device is sent with analysis requests to enforce the free-scan limit and rate limits. It is not your name, email, or store account ID.

Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). We use RevenueCat to verify MyFaceShape Pro entitlement status. We do not receive your payment card details.

Local data on your device. Scan history thumbnails and results, routine progress, theme preference, and onboarding answers are stored locally on your phone.

AI coach messages. When you chat with the glow-up coach, the text you type is sent with a short summary of your latest scan, goal and streak to the same backend and AI provider so it can reply. Coach chats are not stored on our servers after the reply is returned.

Problem reports (Android). If you choose to send a report from Settings or an error screen, the app sends the screen, an error code, app version, device model and Android version, whether Pro is active, a short anonymous device code, and any note or email you type. We use the email only to reply. Reports never include your photos, scan results, or coach chats.

2. Analytics

iOS: The App Store listing indicates Google Firebase Analytics may be used for product analytics (not advertising).

Android: we use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used (for example screens viewed, scans started and finished, the detected face-shape label, paywall views and purchases, and coach messages sent — never the message text), and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash and error reports (device model, OS version, app version, and the steps before the crash). Face photos, scan images, coach chats, emails and raw device identifiers are never sent to Firebase. Free users may see ads from Google AdMob (rewarded videos, full-screen ads, app-open ads, and native ads in guides). MyFaceShape Pro does not show ads. AdMob may collect the advertising ID and approximate location to show and measure ads. In regions that require a choice, the app asks before requesting ads. Face photos are not sent to the ad network.

4. How AI face analysis works

Your selected photo is sent over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker API, which forwards a processing request to a third-party AI provider. After the analysis response is returned to the app, we do not keep your photo in long-term server storage. AI results are estimates for entertainment and personal styling guidance—not medical, dermatological, or identity verification advice.

5. Camera and photo library

The app uses your camera and photo picker only when you choose to scan. You select a specific image; we do not scan your entire photo library in the background.

6. Subscriptions

MyFaceShape Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription. Apple or Google processes payment. Cancel via platform subscription settings.

7. Children's privacy

MyFaceShape is not directed at children under 13.
